YEAR IN REVIEW

Bluegrass 2013 Review

We had 13 launches in 11 of the 12 months during the 2013 flying season. December was the only month we did not hold a rocket launch. It was an extremely successful flying season for the club and it is hopefully 2014 will be even better.

Launch attendance increased from 37 flyers in 2012 to 106 in 2013. That's an increase of 286% which is mainly due to the location and suitability of the new launch site.

As always it is you who make BlueGrass Rocketry Society what it is today. Thanks to all who put in a lot of hard work in 2013 to make it a success and hopefully more people will hear about us and join in on the fun in 2014. A special thanks goes to Jeff Caldwell for finding the new launch site and Darryl Hankes for securing permission to use it. It has greatly increased our flight numbers as can be seen above but has also given us a much better launch site.
The new site allowed for more flyers, increased number of flights and the use of more and higher impulse motors. Except for a few lost rockets due to the corn, it was a great year.

We look forward to seeing you and your rockets in 2014.

Lets make this the best year yet - Get involved and Enjoy the Hobby.

Dues for the 2014 will remain at $20 and this includes launch fees for the year.
Non-members will have a $5 launch fee for model rockets and a $10.00 fee for HP Rockets, 1st time fliers are free.
Children 16 and under free.
