BlueSkies 93 Report
May 02, 2015
Highland Sod Farm
Elizabethtown, KY
It was a great day to fly rockets. The day started out with little to no winds and a few scattered clouds. Temperatures were in the mid to high 70s and clouds gave way to clear skies.
We did have two incidents during the launch. One incident occurred when a micro burst of wind blew the pop-up into the air just missing Ed and destroying the frame when it smashed into the ground. The second incident occurred when one of Ed's forward closures blew and a fire scorched some of the grass around the launch area. Other than that it was a great day to fly rockets.
We had 5 fliers with 31 flights on 32 motors burned. The total impulse was 3843.6 N-sec. (CTI L1395) .
