Sims Farm


Not a bad day to fly rockets. The skies were clear, and temps were chilly but there were no winds earily in the morning with slight winds later in the afternoon.

We had 3 fliers with 11 flights and 11 motors burned. The total impulse was 2085.12ns. an AT K828FJ .

    1. Cowabunga (I285R) Early Ejection Separated the Nose Cone and part of the body tube above the fins. All parts were recovered. That was a heck of a zipper.
    2. Mini Magg (H186TR) Chuff, Chuff, and away. Nice Flight.
    3. Batray (F50-6T) Nice Quick Flight.
    4. Batray (F100-6 EX) FSI motor manufactured in Oct. 1985. Quick lift off then blow through. Out came the guts. Rocket landed East of the pad while the guts landed West of the pad.

    3. Diablo (G40 DTG EX) Didn't go as planned.
